PrintLister is a Chrome extension that helps 3D-print sellers turn MakerWorld models into Facebook Marketplace listings. We built it to do its job inside your own browser and to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains exactly what the extension touches, what we store, and what we never do.
1. Information the extension works with
To do its one job, PrintLister reads and writes data only on the pages where it operates:
- MakerWorld model data — when you click the “+” on a model, the extension reads that model's public details (title, description, image, creator, category, and license) from the MakerWorld page so it can build a draft listing. This happens on demand, for the model you choose.
- Facebook Marketplace create form — when you choose “Open in Marketplace & fill,” the extension fills Facebook's official “Create listing” form with your draft. You review it and press Publish. The extension never publishes for you and never reads your Facebook account data, friends, messages, or activity.
- Your own listing views — if you open your Facebook selling page, the extension can read the public view counts of your own listings to show them in the “Currently Selling” dashboard. It does not read anyone else's data.
2. What is stored, and where
- On your device only. Your draft listings, settings, saved photos, and listing snapshots are stored locally in your browser (via
chrome.storageand IndexedDB). They stay on your computer. We cannot see them. - Subscription record. To run your $15/month subscription, our billing service stores your subscription status and a license key, keyed to your Stripe customer and subscription IDs. This lets the extension confirm your subscription is active.
3. Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you subscribe, Stripe collects and processes your payment details and email under Stripe's Privacy Policy. PrintLister never sees or stores your full card number. We receive only the information needed to keep your subscription active (e.g., your email, subscription status, and a customer/subscription identifier).
4. What we never do
- We never ask for, see, store, or transmit your Facebook, MakerWorld, or Google password.
- We never collect your general browsing history. The extension only runs on MakerWorld and Facebook Marketplace pages.
- We never post, message, or take actions on Facebook on your behalf — you always click Publish.
- We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not use your data to train AI models.
5. Permissions, in plain English
- Access to makerworld.com — to add the “+” and read the model you select.
- Access to facebook.com/marketplace — to fill the create-listing form you opened and read your own listing views.
- Storage / unlimited storage — to keep your drafts, settings, and saved photos on your device.
- Side panel — to show the PrintLister workspace beside the page.
- Notifications — to let you know when a draft is ready or an action completes.
6. Data retention & deletion
Local data lives on your device until you delete it — remove the extension, or clear its data from chrome://extensions, and it's gone. To delete your subscription record, cancel your subscription and email us; we'll remove the associated billing record on request, subject to any records Stripe must retain for legal and tax purposes.
7. Children
PrintLister is a tool for sellers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note it on this page.
9. Contact
